Job Title: Survey Party Supervisor - Public Works - Surveys - Depending upon Qualifications

Pay Range: G.21, $43,347.20 - $64,334.40



Job Duties:

Operate and direct the proper operation of all survey instruments as required.

Effectively supervise and lead the crew in completing assignments property, timely and accurately ensuring all data is accurate.

Minimum Requirements:

MINIMUMS:
Requires high school or GED plus five (5) years progressive experience, one (1) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, and/or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina drivers license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV drivers license eligibility requirements.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
This position may require that incumbents to wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, steel toed shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, or other safety attire and equipment in designated areas of risk. Specific requirements will be determined and communicated by the employees supervisor based on position assigned.

Preferences:

9 Years as a Party Supervisor or a CST Level III Certifications
1 Year Experience in Hydrographic Surveys using Hypack Software
1 Year Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D Software
1 Year Experience with Static and RTK GPS Collection
1 Year Experience Working With VDOT Plans and Acquisition Plats.
1 Year Experience Using Carlson Data Collectors
