Job Title: SENIOR PARTS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Senior Parts System Administrator in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Senior Parts System Administrator reconciles parts inventory general ledger accounts to the perpetual listing of parts inventory, establishes and maintains corporate parts pricing strategies; ensuring all merchandising programs are identified and pursued and credits are accounted for accurately. Seeking candidates with general understanding of accounting practices. In-depth industry product knowledge and experience. Warehousing or manufacturing operational background preferred. Process improvement/management consulting background preferred.

Requirements for the Senior Parts System Administrator position include:
Must have a good understanding of general accounting practices.Promote a positive customer experience.Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.Must be able to take corrective action when results are below target, and act with a sense of urgency to achieve desire results.Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks at once. Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills required.Must be skilled in process/workflow/gap analysis procedures.Must have knowledge and understanding of all parts operations related systems.Capable of researching process issues and distributing these issues to key personnel.Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work with competing demands, and develop action plans.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills.Excellent PC skills with knowledge of MS Office and the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology required.Must be able to travel locally as required – must possess a valid drivers’ license.Promote a positive customer experience.Uphold the Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork by embracing The Carter Way.
