THE WORK
In this important role, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to concept and develop tool designs utilizing CATIA V5 for a variety of programs.
• Present tooling concepts to customers for review and obtain customer approval to proceed with tool design.
• Ensure tool designs are developed and produced in compliance with Sikorsky design requirements and customer expectations.
• Coordinate and provide shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.

WHO YOU ARE
• The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace manufacturing background and demonstrated solution-driven productivity, creativity, and dynamic problem-solving skills.

• In this high visibility customer facing role, you will leverage your tool design experience and familiarity with tool fabrication techniques and technologies to lead both internally initiated and customer identified projects with discrete needs, expectations, and deliverables.

• Through close communication and dialogue with leadership and customers, the successful candidate will be able to quickly define and outline the scope of a project as they evaluate available data, research, and industry best practices. From that evaluation, the successful candidate will be able to provide actionable insight to both leadership and the customer and drive tool design and fabrication initiative closures.

A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or Masters degree with 3 years related experience
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools, with experience in data analysis and presentation
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 is required
• Experience with 2D drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is required
• Basic understanding of aircraft design, development, and production
• Strong understanding of tool design and fabrication principles
• Demonstrate good communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing techniques, technologies, and applications
• Experience in CATIA V5 Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FT&A) or Model-based Definition (MBD)
• Experience as a Tool Engineer/Designer in the aerospace field
• Experience with industry standards such as ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.5, etc.
• Demonstrated success working both independently and collaboratively as a functional lead

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
