Description
SAIC is looking for a Logistics Engineer to perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major PMW-160 systems, specifically CANES. This position is heavily involved with parts forecasting, vendor relations, EOL/EOS purchasing, Spares Lists, and PSD. The Logistics Engineer ensures program data is distributed to other Logistics team members as needed for Logistics product development, including CDMD-OA, ILS Checklists, Provisioning, ILS Packages, Technical Documentation, PMS, DMSMS, and PSD. This position is an ONSITE role located in Norfolk, VA at NAVSTA Norfolk.
JOB DUTIES:
Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Will also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision. Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an Active Secret Clearance. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of Logistics and Logistics product deliverables, including Provisioning, ILS Certifications, PMS, Technical Documentation, ILS Packages, CDMD-OA, PSD, DMSMS, and ECR process. Candidates must have technical, engineering, or logistics background involving hardware or software systems. DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with hardware drawing analysis, BOM analysis, and inputs to ECRs desired.
