Overview
LMI is seeking a skilled Mid to Senior-level Space Domain Operations Analyst at our office in Colorado Springs, CO providing advanced analytics to the development team and customer with modeling, simulation, and analysis. Successful LMI Space Domain Operations Analysts demonstrate competency in critical thinking, relationship management, space domain understanding, model-based system engineering, and data analysis while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior. This position requires an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities
Our team specializes in crafting Digital Engineering analytical pipelines with a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) data model front end. These pipelines employ a micro-services-based architecture on a cloud-deployed system (AWSGovcloud) to maximize nation-wide system availability, scalability, data integrity, and security. They support US Space Force organizations withhighly responsivecutting-edge analytical insights which are helping change how the space domain supports the joint war fight.
Our operations analysts specialize inemployingMBSE data models to represent war fighting informationin all domains and at all levels (subsystems, platforms, capabilities, and missions). A new addition to our analysis repertoire is the Operations/Campaign Level which representstheater-wideMajor Combat Operations (MCO). We're looking for a skilled Operations Analystwith deep Operations/Campaign-level analysis experiencewho can provide strategic MBSE architecture/design insightsforthe effectiveMCOrepresentationin our MBSE data modeland related Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) capabilities and components. Engage with space-related customers to understand their space-related analysis needs and translate themstrategicallyinto work product Understand, manage, and translate current and Future Operational Concepts (FOCs)andOperations/Campaignscenarios(g.JFOS-Joint Force Operational Scenarios)into scalableMBSE data models which interact withand augmentthe existingsubsystems, platforms, capabilities, and mission models Define MBSE architecture/design best practices forOperations/Campaignrepresentation Collaboratewith our software architect, senior developers, operations analysts, data scientists, and other leadership tohelparchitect/design interaction of the MBSE data models w/ other critical software capabilities and component. Collaborate within and across Government-Contractor-FFRDCand UARC(Federally Funded Research and DevelopmentCenters, UniversityAffiliatedResearchCenters)teams and their respective Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine MBSE data Dive into research on technical development aspects to ensureOperations/Campaignmodels are accurate Demonstrate your analytical products to customers Actively participate in Agile analytical sprint processes and ceremoniesQualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with6+years of professional experience or master's degree in a STEM field with4+years of professional experience. May substitute educational degree for experience. Deep expertise in operations/campaign-level representationand assessmentof the joint multi-domain war fight. Space domain experience and understanding in multiple areasofastrodynamics; orbital mechanics; rendezvous and proximity operations; satellite communications; missile warning/missile defense; space-based positioning, navigation, and timing; remote sensing; environmental monitoring; command and control; battle management; and space domain awareness. Relevant joint space warfighting experience in an operational, science and technology, or operational test organization. Exposure to modeling, simulation, and analysis tools. Proven track record of engaging with customers, product users, and coworkers to create innovative solutions to complex problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Possess a natural curiosity and desire to challenge yourself and those around you. Active Secret Security ClearanceDesired: Top-Secret Clearance CameoSystems Modeler(or similar)MBSE authoring softwareandSysML(Systems Modeling Language)experience. Experience using both Scrum and Kanban.Target salary range: $90,000 - $183,000
