Sierra7 is hiring a Visualization/Power BI Developer to join the Enterprise Architecture Support Services team supporting the Veterans Administration.
Position Responsibilities: Use Power BI tools, data query tools such as Power Query and DAX to design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support federal program monitoring, compliance tracking, and executive decision-making. Translate agency mission requirements and stakeholder input into user-friendly, actionable visualizations aligned with federal reporting standards Collect digital data traffic for healthcare services Design and develop data models and data visualizations of data and analytics Coordinate and collaborate with Data Manager and Informaticist Collect user input (HCD) for design of visualizations Support business requirements development Verify and validate the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in dashboards and reports Assist with the development of a Traffic Logging Standard Operating Procedure to document the processes and procedures used to log required traffic Support completion of contract deliverable artifacts Provide ad hoc support to the team and customer
Requirements:
Required skills: Power BI development experience essential Proficient with data modeling Experience building reports and visualizations Analysis skills Ability to link disparate data origins and convert to usable information Transform data into an array of visuals, including pie charts, decomposition trees, gauge charts, KPIs, combo charts, bar and column charts and ribbon charts Java, Python, SQL coding experience Understanding of HIPAA Knowledge of Section 508 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 regarding Accessibility standards Need excellent time management and multitasking skills Customer service skills Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree - Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 5 years of experience Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate [a plus] Experience working in VA [desired] The ability to obtain a government clearance [required] Why Join Sierra7?
