Description: You will be the Production Test Engineer for the Missile Assembly team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing automated test equipment, manufacturing test planning, and electro-mechanical integration to support Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Test Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to ensure the successful production of missiles. You will play a critical role in supporting the development of automated test equipment, preparing test procedures, and troubleshooting test anomalies.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the development of automated test equipment and manufacturing test planning
• Preparing test procedures from engineering and conducting detailed failure analysis
• Evaluating electrical test results and developing root cause and corrective/preventative actions
• Utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis and performing test anomaly troubleshooting and fault resolution
• Interpreting engineering data and supporting electro-mechanical integration

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small- town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline at the Bachelor level or above and 2 years professional experience; Or 6 years of related professional experience.
Working knowledge / experience of electronic testing methods in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge / experience with (1) electronic circuit design, (2) automated test equipment & software design, (3) evaluating electrical test results, (4) conducting detailed failure analysis, (5) developing and implementing root cause and corrective / preventative actions, (6) utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis, and (7) Thermal and Vibration testing and equipment.
Previous experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Visual C or Visual Basic, and National Instrument -Windows CVI, Test-Stand and NI -View software.
Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment and products.
Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Systems Applications & Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in a manufacturing environment.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
