Description:Join Our Team as an Electromechanical Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location: Although this position does support some teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO, and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.




What does this role look like?

Join us at Lockheed Martin as an ElectroMechanical Engineer who will be responsible for cable design, development, and production support for the Cable and Interconnects team on the FBM Reentry Avionics Team.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Performing electrical/mechanical engineering design tasks relating to wire harness/cable design and interconnecting of electronic equipment
• Interpreting detailed component performance specifications and Interface Control Drawings (ICD), including assembly manufacturing drawings, parts lists, cable design, and engineering change support
• Interfacing with other disciplines, such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to ensure program requirements are being met
• Providing support to both in-house and outside cable manufacturing, fabrication and integration
• Participating in technical reviews and audits




To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Experience with wire harness and cables design of electrical\\mechanical interconnects for satellite spacecraft equipment and/or missile systems.
• 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Fundamental understanding of electrical/mechanical design engineering, including wire harness/cable design, electronic equipment interfacing and CAD design.

• Ability to analyze and interpret wiring and system functional schematics.

• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in flight or missile harness/cable design, manufacturing, installation, and/or testing, including manufacturing processes, specifications, and documentation
• Demonstrated good communication with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members
• Ability and desire to obtain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship
• Experience with engineering data configuration management (i.e.: development, release and configuration control of mechanical drawings and engineering change process)
• Previous CPE and MRB experience
• Experience with wire harness design using Creo, Zuken or equivalent
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Active Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
