Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA std's certification may be required within 30 days of hire.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Quality Manager in Marion, Virginia. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Leads the quality organization from both a tactical and strategic approachPerforms or confirms production and quality control auditsAssures compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards such as AS9100 regulationsMay conduct vendor evaluation audits to determine qualificationsMay also conduct training on quality assurance systemsDelegates assignments to others for developing solutions to a variety of complex and difficult problemsDevelops, implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activitiesDefines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company productsParticipates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerationsAssists product support areas in gathering and analyzing dataSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the functionRegular contact with internal customers (DCMA, on-site customer reps) and external customersRegular interaction with other departments such as engineering, operations and contractsRegular contact with suppliers and subcontractorsInteracts with all levels of management

Target salary range: USD $166,210.40/Yr. - USD $179,844.80/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
