Overview

We are seeking a full-time Aviation Systems Engineer 1 at our Salem, OR location. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting successful conception, development, and/or application of sophisticated avionics systems by creating, identifying, documenting, and coordinating customer and regulatory system requirements and scalable system design for integrated flight deck programs and/or retrofit product lines .
Essential Functions
Identifies and documents technical scope of change in support of small changes to already supported functionality or interfacesCreates a simple set of testable system requirements and technical documentation for well-defined functionality, following requirements standards and documented best practicesProvides technical content for system design/description documentationExecutes a subset of system-level processes, with efficient and accurate hand-offs to/from customers or development teams at the aircraft and sub-system/equipment levelsAssesses existing system's compliance with a select set of customer requirements utilizing existing hardware, software, and configurationMay provide support for tool maintenance or perform bench testing of select interfaces or functionalityIdentifies and resolves defects of basic scope using proper engineering tools and techniques Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills and knowledge in one or more of the following technical areas:Systems IntegrationSystem SafetySystem RequirementsDesired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)Previous work or internship experience working on consumer or aviation products
