Overview

We are seeking a full-time Lead Digital Governance Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and/or executing very large, complex initiatives of average to significant complexity in support of Garmin's digital governance and regulatory compliance programs with a focus on creating, maintaining, enforcing, or assisting other departments in complying with controls, policies, standards, and procedures.
Essential Functions
Define, coordinate and oversee very large, complex governance and compliance programs and initiatives in the areas of artificial intelligence, content moderation, or other regulations as assignedLeverage mastery of concepts, standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in one or more areas, such as artificial intelligence and/or content moderation, to perform risk assessments on Garmin global processes, systems, and applications to evaluate the risk of harm to Garmin and the applicable data subjects and the effectiveness of mitigation plans to address those risksCompile/publish information required for transparency or similar regulatory reportingIndependently collaborate with/advise teams throughout Garmin to guide them through governance processes, completing risk assessments, and incorporating program requirements in the design of products, apps, and servicesAdvise product development teams on program requirements and best practicesParticipate in gap assessments and development of compliance plans for new regulationsParticipate in internal/external audits, certifications, attestations, and other compliance activitiesCoordinate/perform due diligence activities with any new or existing Garmin business acquisition, merger, divestiture, or third party contractRespond to inquiries from individuals/regulators at the direction of program leaders/executive sponsorsDesign, implement, and maintain policies, standards, procedures, processes, guidance, and training to support compliance with current international, federal, state, and local regulatory requirementsDevelop/cultivate relationships with Garmin leaders, both domestic/international, in all departments and segments including legal, sales, marketing, engineering, IT, and operationsDeliver program project status and summary information to all levels of the business including executive levelProvide guidance/direction to junior level associates in their personal/professional developmentUtilize sound project/program management methodologies to enable project deliveryDaily use of considerable discretion/judgment, performing duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision, and prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly changing environmentSupport, motivate and drive accountability for team members, peers, and other Garmin associations by actively seeking and providing feedback, building networks, sharing successes, tools and knowledgeDemonstrate responsibility for ongoing personal development, professional growth and continuing education Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field AND a minimum of 9 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceExtensive experience with regulatory compliance in the fields of artificial intelligence, content moderation, data privacy, information security, product development, or similarExtensive experience managing cross functional projects including taking large concepts and breaking work into manageable pieces and tracking status/completion of deliverablesDemonstrated exceptional and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated success in delivering very large and complex projects on time and under budgetMust be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented, a driven problem solver with proven success solving difficult problems, and a multi-tasker with the ability to independently prioritize in a fast paced, deadline-driven environmentDesired Qualifications
Experience with executive or c-suite level communication
