Overview

We are seeking a full-time Material Handler - Equipment in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting material with accuracy while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Essential Functions
Examine, sort, arrange, count, store, pick and pack items for storage/or shipment in accordance with established procedures/customer requirementsResponsible for accuracy of inventory, transactions, and material movementResponsible to follow all corporate and departmental proceduresPull/audit material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirementsIssue/transact material requested through material withdrawal formsReceive, transact, and sort inbound materialReplenishment of material into primary picking locationsEnsure First in/First Out (FIFO) and Last in/First Out (LIFO) policies are adhered to as defined in departmental proceduresFollow Electronic Static Discharge (ESD) guidelines for static sensitive materialsPack materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customersResponsible to perform cycle counts as requiredAbility to operate RF scanner device to transact/move materialCross-train as needed to learn all material handler functionsMust meet quality/productivity metricsPerform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment and maintain acceptable organization/cleanlinessAbility to accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completionComply with all safety standards and policiesAbility to work variable and flexible hours including overtimeCompliance with HRD-003 (Garmin's Attendance Policy)Must possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniquesMust possess the ability to operate equipment that is design rated for operators 300 pounds or lessExecute plans made by supervisor or mentor and communicate status of work to supervisorAccurately use KiSoft or Oracle to record transactions and locate inventoryUnderstanding of 5S standards and Lean & DFT principalsUnderstand and apply department policies and procedures Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDPossess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordinationMust possess previous equipment related experienceMust possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniquesMust possess the ability to operate equipment that is design rated for operators 300 pounds or lessAbility to sit, stand, look down, bend, twist, and have dexterity with hands for up to 10 hoursAvailable for OvertimeAble to walk long distancesDesired Qualifications
Previous warehouse or related experienceDatabase experience including Microsoft Excel and AccessPrevious Oracle Experience
