Maxar has an opening for a Sr Director, Business Development on the US Government team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and generating demand to execute enhanced offerings within our US Civil Government portfolio.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet annual revenue and booking quotas, while developing and implementing the growth strategy set by leadership and other cross-functional teams. The role requires a technical team player and peer leader with a focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Maxar's robust earth observation imagery solutions and capabilities.

This role is an opportunity to expand the growth of existing contracts within the Civil Government sector as well as identify and win net new pursuits.You will utilize your technical understanding of Maxar's robust geospatial and imagery offerings to build credibility and increase revenue with NASA, NOAA, USDA and other Civil agencies. Your success will be founded on your business relations background enabling you to drive engagement at an executive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Responsibilities:Develop and implement growth strategy alongside of account leads to execute enhanced offeringsLeverage existing relationships with senior NASA and NOAA contactsConvey and execute on technical vision, positioning Maxar's capabilities with customers missionIdentify areas for growth and positioning that drives adoption of products and servicesAssess competitive risk using financial, statistical, and economic data and identify manageable solutions for customersWork cross collaboratively within internal and external stakeholdersSupport Sales and Marketing teams in the development of product positioning, presentations, press releases, product workshops, training workshops, and customer visitsStrengthen and progress deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of our Civil Government customer objectivesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in business or political science; work experience may be substituted10+ years of experience working in, or for, the civil science community or government Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, strategy, marketing, product, legal, and operationsIllustrated success in achieving revenue targetsSelf-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervisionFlexible with the ability to work independently and on teamsStrategic approach to product positioning Deep geospatial knowledge with a network in the industryAbility to understand technical nuances while executing initiatives and vision to expand existing contracts Ability to travel as required Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred Preferred Qualifications:Civil science backgroundUnderstanding of the space domain and offerings in the marketOur salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$169,000.00 - $281,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
