Duties
Supports the DHS Office the Secretary's (S1) continuity program and activities. Supports the DHS Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and S1 successors' emergency relocation program and all associated activities/functions. Liaisons and coordinates regularly with various S1 support stakeholders and mission partners to enhance departmental readiness for all hazards, at all times. Supports Headquarters alternate facilities management, including budgeting, Information and Communication Technology systems refresh, workspace management, and conducting familiarization tours. Supports the DCD by conducting Emergency Relocation Group planning; operations; testing, training, and exercising l implementation requirements.

Qualifications
Qualifications required: General experience providing timely and comprehensive customer service support to executive leaders. General experience developing, implementing, and evaluating tactical and strategic operational activities. General knowledge of and experience with continuity of operations (COOP). General knowledge of homeland security, national security, or intelligence functions. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate COOP stakeholder efforts across organizational lines, including the ability to monitor progress on requirements development to ensure that realistic objectives and milestones are established, to clearly assign responsibilities, and to get mission requirements accomplished in a timely manner. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, and to present well-considered and sound suggestions that provide a clear understanding of emergency situations and incidents to ensure effective communications and decision-making during a crisis. Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include: Phase 1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA. Phase 2: Complete a self-assessment of the duties performed at the mid-point of the JDA. Phase 3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA.
