What will I do in this position if hired?

This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Claims Office within FEMA.
In this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position, you will play a leadership role in the Field Operations Branch within the Hermits Peak Claim Office and provide supervisory oversight to program analysts involved in managing and coordinating with other entities the receipt, review, processing and payment of compensation claims resulting from the Hermit's Peak and Calf Canyon Fires.

Typical assignments include:
Supervising, leading, and developing a group of management and/or program analysts, who manage a highly complex, professional/administrative workload. Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Analyzing and advising management on the effectiveness of claims program and operations and the productivity and efficiency of organization and resource utilization. Synthesizing complex information into recommendations for leadership decision-making. Developing and sharing reports and information that will inform performance reporting and continuous program delivery improvements. What else do I need to know?

To qualify for this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position at the IC-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Developing and delivering complex programs and projects; and Leading, managing, scheduling or counseling a diverse team of employees on work and administrative matters across multiple locations; and Analyzing program data and using findings to implement significant changes to program or organizational structure to increase efficiency and effectiveness in program delivery.
