Job Description:

Microchip's Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discretes BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discretes BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip is planning to fill the following position with a talented, creative, and motivated individual.

Calibration Technician:Maintain Military Screening Equipment following written specifications from travelers and procedures. Enter data on process travelers, logbooks, and computer data entry for lot tracking and equipment tracking. Interface with multiple people and multiple functions.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:Ability to perform calibration on mechanical or electronic production equipment.Ability to work from verbal or written instructions.Experience in the use of multimeters, soldering irons and mechanical tools.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.Ability to use MS Office.Desired Qualifications:Enrolled in trade school or post high school certificate training in electronicsExperience repairing or calibrating electronic test equipment.Electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.Ability to interface with parts or service vendors.U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Residency requirements as outlined below:
