Job Description:Develop Reference designs, Customer Projects & Application Notes in the emerging new Automotive application areas.Assist in designing, developing & troubleshooting customer projects and applications. Support and help customers in resolving design & implementation issues.Interface with customers & internal departments regarding the statusand resolution of open issues.Provide creative solutions and workarounds to address customer issues.Create technical documentation and supporting collateral (including videos, training programs, application notes, and white papers) for customers.Participate and promote Microchip's Automotive products and solutions at technical events and conferences.Provide feedback to internal groups on improvements in hardware, software, tools and documentation.Develop & deliver technical trainings to customers and field engineers.Requirements/Qualifications:BSEE or equivalent with 7+ years of experience, in automotive is a benefit.Automotive or Semiconductor industry experience.Hands-on experience in Embedded Software development, including bare metal and framework-based development on 16-bit and 32-bit MCU.Strong background in application development on ARM-cortex based application processors and SOCs.Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, ISO/OSI network model)Master of a systems programming language, such as C/C++.Knowledge of MCU peripherals including CAN,SPI,I2C,PWM, Timers is required.Knowledge of Automotive Functional safety ISO26262 will be beneficial. Familiarity with industry standard development process such as ASPICE.Hardware and system level mixed-signal system design and debug experience.Knowledge in schematic and layout design best practices.Proficiency using standard laboratory equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer) for test and debug.Ability to collaborate with customers to solve design requirements.Ability to be part of a dynamic, site-distributed, team-oriented applications and marketing organization.Excellent English language communication skills, written and spoken.Self-motivated, able to work independently or part of a team.Travel Time:
