Duties
Provide technical guidance and assistance on all real estate matters in connection with acquisition of lands, easements, rights-of-way, relocations, and disposal areas (LERRD) for Local Cooperation Projects. Coordinate the acquisition workload on the behalf of a Non-Federal Sponsor. Inform team members of changes in criteria, policy and procedures which affect work underway or future work. Coordinate activities in the planning stages of the project and continue through approval of decision documents. Oversee the Non-Federal Sponsor in execution of the Project Partnership Agreement, acquisition of real estate, crediting procedures, and the audit process. Review and approves credit requests and submits to Chief, Real Estate Division for final approval.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing workload of mapping requests and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems, managing a real property program that includes management, disposal and utilization; and leading a team to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned objectives; applying real estate principles, regulations, practices and techniques to acquire lands in fee, easements, and lesser interests for Federal projects; implement regulations, laws, and established district policies; prepares real estate reports for the transfer of real property interests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)

For this job at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
