Solidus is searching for a Junior Windows System Administrator.
How will you make an impact:
Successful individual will join a team to support the development of new technologies that enable worldwide networked operations for the military and other government agencies.
Qualified candidate will be adept at working within a small, fast-moving team and will have some hands-on System Administration experience with Windows. They will be adept at scripting using languages like, Python, Bash, or Ansible. Network administration experience is also desirable, which includes managing data center and small network configurations: switches, routers, firewalls, modern software management and monitoring tools, some knowledge of automation technique.
What will you bring to the role:
Requirements
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• 1-3 years minimum experience
• BS Degree in related field or equivalent
• Windows 10
Additionally Desired Experience
• Linux OS or Ubuntu
• Managing classified IT systems, STIGs, SCAPS, RMF is highly preferred
• Maintaining directory services i.e., Microsoft, Redhat IDM, LDAP, etc.
• VMWare vSphere, Desktop/Server, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, etc.
•Managing system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
• Diagnose and perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware
• Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers
• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures
• Conduct periodic system maintenance including cleaning (physically and electronically), disk checks, routine reboots, data dumps, and testing
• Optimization and problem-solving support
• Python, Bash, or Ansible is a plus
