Solidus is searching for a Integration and Test Engineer.
How will you make an impact:
Successful individual will be involved in integration and test. The primary focus of this role is Integration which tests and libraries are written in Python. Development will focus on creating automation and scripting, in Linux with a combination of C++ and Python scripting to script the operation of the systems to test and use for experimentation. Engineer will build modems for satellite communications; contain combination of hardware, embedded controls, FPGA based firmware and software; complex set of integrated. You will support the hardware at various locations around the country. Qualified candidate must be able to script and troubleshoot in the software environment. There will be a significant use of Atlassian tools for defect tracking: Jira, confluence. Engineer may receive field reports on the systems that report errors that need to be corrected remotely. Ideal candidate is someone enthusiastic about getting into the program and debugging and finding issues and work through them.
Travel: Approximately 2-3 weeks per year (domestic travel), but not required.

• US Citizenship and the ability to eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• 3 years minimum experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Onsite 4-5 days/week
• Should be skilled in both system test planning and test execution.
• A strong background in and experience with Python, and familiarity with C/C++
• Programming background and scripting background
• Atlassian tools for defect tracking: Jira, confluence
• Able to apply programming skills to efficiently implement test procedures and troubleshoot system operation
• Should be skilled in both system test planning and test execution.

• Understanding of RF, networking, FPGA boards, digital signal processing, digital communications, hardware design, software engineering, and computer architecture
• DEVOPS familiarity
• Version Control i.e., GIT
• Experience with communication theory and communication system design
• Any background in networking/digital communications is helpful but not a must have
• Any RF electronics or test equipment is a plus
• Can relax embedded systems and embedded Linux; deploying in this environment
• Understanding of FPGA
• Wireshark would be helpful for automated tests or low level unit testing
