This Opportunity

Louis Berger Services ("LBS") is a division of WSP USA that specializes in the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure and facilities for the US government domestically and around the world, as well as state and local governments and commercial clients in the United States. Our capabilities include Mission Support Services, Fuels & Fueling Services, Power Services, Contingency Logistics Services, and Infrastructure Asset Maintenance Services.

The primary focus of Asset Maintenance is to provide highway maintenance and operating services to state departments of transportation (DOTs) and toll road concessionaires. Their projects are primarily in Florida, with further operations in South Carolina and Virginia.

LBS is seeking a Full-Time Highway Maintenance Technician Trainee in their Asset Maintenance group that will perform light to moderately heavy maintenance duties on local roadways and highways using various types of power and hand tools to provide a safe environment for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Your Impact

This is an on-the-job training role where you will learn how to: Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, herbicide and fertilizer application, weed control, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, tree trimming, and pruning Clean and grade ditches, stormwater drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopes Perform general maintenance duties such as fence repair, sign repair and replacement, and litter and debris removal Fill and patch asphalt pavement potholes and distresses Load and unload equipment, supplies, tools, and material Use all equipment, tools, materials, and supplies safely Perform other duties as assigned Who You Are
