LOCATION

This is a territory-based field sales role supporting clients in lower east coast (NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA WV, NC). This role offers remote flexibility, but our ideal candidate will live in or near the territory(NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA WV, NC).

This position requires up 70% travel, locally/within the territory. Travel expenses, including mileage are covered by Constellation standard travel policy. When not traveling, this position will work from home.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This individual will be responsible for acquiring new business and implementing energy strategies to renew existing customer business. This role focuses on natural gas retail sales and sustainability solutions products and services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Drive sales results for power, gas and alternative energy products (e.g. sustainability solutions, energy efficiency) in order to achieve gross margin quotas. Cultivate customer relationships with respective Fortune 500 companies within regional, national, public sector or other segment as defined by leader. Develop energy plans and strategies for Fortune 500 companies, prepare presentations and close sales transactions Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs Drive unified sales platform by understanding core products (gas) in detail and by leveraging technical expertise to drive sales of alternative products (e.g. sustainability solutions, energy efficiency). Be a champion for the organizations values and the Constellation Difference through demonstrating values-based behaviors on a consistent basis. Sr. Level: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers Sr. Level: Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationships

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - JUNIOR BDM
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed Proficiency with MS Office Suite Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationships Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
2 years of experience in consultative sales in industries such as financial services, insurance services, real estate, and energy services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - ASSOCIATE BDM
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 2+ years of work experience in a business related field, preferably sales Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed Proficiency with MS Office Suite Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationships Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of experience in consultative sales in industries such as financial services, insurance services, real estate, and energy services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 5+ years of experience in energy/electricity markets or related experience in sales. Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products. Experience and senior level contacts at businesses Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationships Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of sales success and ability to grow a book of business Sales experience in the outlined territory Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SENIOR BDM
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 8+ years of experience in energy/electricity markets with an emphasis on marketing and/or sales. Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products. Experience and senior level contacts at businesses Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
