About the role:

To contribute to planning, coordination, and conduct of performance testing activities as a member of the NNSS Performance Testing Assessment Section Team.

Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate and conduct Performance Tests of designated SOC/PSI personnel and physical security systems Assist in the conduct of periodic force-on-force exercises to assess Protective Force performance in support of NNSA/NFO missions and requirements by performing duties as Exercise Adversary Coordinator and/or Exercise Coordinator. Assist as required with planning, coordinating, and conduct of performance tests. Evaluate the validity and sufficiency of specific site plans to address threats and provide recommendations for change as appropriate. Conduct performance tests on Protective Force personnel and/or physical security systems as required, to evaluate the quality and adequacy of training and supervision to prepare and manage Protective Force personnel in the performance of specified tasks and provide recommendations for change as appropriate. Conduct performance tests as required including Alarm Response and Assessment Performance Tests (ARAPTs), Limited Scope Performance Tests (LSPTs), Protective Force Effectiveness Tests, Physical Security Systems Effectiveness Performance Tests, No-notice Performance Tests, and Enterprise Mission Essential Task List (EMETL) Tests. Provide reports as needed to show the results of performance tests. Input (database) test results to demonstrate analysis and presentation of data compiled. Supports Force-on-Force activities as a member of the exercise planning, conduct and evaluation team, or any other assignments intended to support the safe conduct of this activity. Ensures work is executed in accordance with ISM and ISSM Core Functions and Guiding Principles, including safety-based stop work authority. Performance test coordination, conduct, and reporting Annual testing schedule execution Briefings to Federal Staff and Contract Stakeholders on conduct of performance testing activities Test Plan development and execution Qualifications/Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a member of DOE/NNSA Protective Force, security exercise planning through the armed forces or other government agency/contractor employment, performance testing of physical security systems, or experience in similar security contractor's performance assurance program. Must have a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must have demonstrated experience and be well versed in accepted assessment procedures/standards is preferred. Must be skilled in MS Office programs, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred. Clearance: Must have an active current DOE Q clearance or have had an active DOE Q clearance within the past 4 years. Must be able to maintain current clearance or reactivate and maintain a DOE Q clearance. Preferred Qualifications/Requirements: One year of experience as a Protective Force Supervisor at the NNSS with in-direct experience in the security contractor's Performance Test Program. One year of experience as a Protective Force Training Instructor at the NNSS with in-direct experience in the security contractor's Performance Test Program. Knowledge of generally accepted assessment procedures/standards is preferred. Skill in MS Office programs, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred.
