Position Summary:
Researches and resolves discrepancies in freight with carriers, vendors, and the plants utilizing the TMS and SAP systems. Works directly with carriers to review and verify correct freight, invoice accuracy, payment history. Uses judgement and authority to approve or deny carrier freight invoices. Audits & ensures rating inputs in the system are accurate and maintained. Plays a key role identifying necessary modifications of freight payment systems, procedures and policies.
How you will impact Ingevity:Work with both Coupa and SAP to issue freight payments.Enters carrier invoices into the enterprise's payment system.Resolve and reconcile carrier rating and billing discrepancies that exist within various Ingevity systems (TMS, SAP, etc.).Identify and communicate inaccurate freight rates in the TMS system to TMS Supervisor.As directed, perform historical cost analysis and administrative duties in support of Transportation Team projects.Audit freight invoice exceptions daily. Review for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and approve and pass on to manual payment system for processing.Communicate daily with carrier representatives to revolve billing / payment issues. Ensure compliance with Transportation Services Agreement payment terms. Resolve discrepancies, short-pays, and aging, etc. Resolution to be maintained within a 48-hour "window" unless exceptions require further investigation.What you need to succeed:Two-years of finance, accounting, or transportation audit experience OR an Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.Experienced in Microsoft Office, strong Microsoft Excel skills required.Experience and knowledge in audit and reconciliation processes and practices.Strong data skills primarily in excel spreadsheets, data mining, and data presentation. An understanding of basic financial/costs analysis techniques, reporting, and principles.Written and verbal communication skills that explain process flows, accounting flows, and audit practices, and to work with plant, accounting, and transportation representatives.This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
