Ingevity's Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) is our two-year early career program designed to provide recent Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduates with two to three developmental rotational assignments in multiple U.S. operating facilities.

How you will impact Ingevity:

As a Rotational Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to have unparalleled experience in both our Performance Chemicals and Performance Materials divisions. Throughout the ERDP, there is heavy emphasis placed on safety, teamwork, process improvement, leadership and professional development. You will become familiar with production processes, continuous improvement and gain valuable project management experiences with focuses in equipment design, installation and startup.Additional responsibilities and developmental opportunities include but are not limited to:Support safety and environmental initiatives protecting both employees and the environmentPerform evaluations and calculations: equipment sizing, mass balance calculations, vent flows, etc.Evaluate improvements to the plant by running trials and interpreting resultsSupport both capital and non-capital projectsResponsible for improvements in safety, quality, plant availability, plant production, and costDefine process requirements for new products and plant expansionsSpecify design of experiments, equipment specifications, and installation requirementsand ensure safety and design of equipment meets manufacturing needs and requirementsSupport production engineering, maintenance, and other plant functions when neededServe as a project liaison between production and project managersTroubleshoot equipment and develop permanent solutions to streamline operations and create repeatable and reliable processesChampion and participate in OPEX, Six Sigma, and lean activities to sustain continuous improvementWhat will you gain from the Engineering Rotational Program?Two years of immersive, project-based experience in multiple manufacturing sites across the U.S.Relocation assistance with each moveHousing stipend throughout the duration of the programOngoing developmental opportunities including leadership and professional development training, summits and professional certificationsMentorship opportunities with senior-level leadership, engineers and mentors across the organizationCompetitive benefits and compensationWhat you need to succeed:

We're looking for curious engineers to join our global team of innovators, analytical thinkers and creative problem solvers. The requirements for this role include:Studentsin pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an anticipated graduation date on/before December 2023.0-2 years of internship/co-op/industry work experience supporting production and/or engineering processes in an industrial manufacturing or similar environment applying engineering fundamentals and/or building relevant project management skills.Project leaders excited by analytical problem-solving that requires critical thinking and strong attention to detailEnthusiastic collaborators who can't wait to solve problems in an inclusive team-based environmentShares a sincere commitment to Ingevity's culture of safety, sustainability and integrityDemonstrated strong interpersonal relationship skills, problem solving/troubleshooting skills, and written/verbal communication skills.The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and use problem solving tools.Flexibility to travel on the job: 0-10%This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
