Job Description:
The OPO-T Driving and Tactics Instructor is responsible for teaching avariety of courses and subjects at an OCONUS location. This position will be required to act as a subject matter expert in the cleared areas of expertise, as well as provide support in additional capacities.
Provide direct instruction in armored vehicle dynamics Provide direct instruction in technical driving skills Provide direct instruction in right front seat driving and night familiarization Provide direct instruction in barricade breaching Provide direct instruction on the importance of weight and balance, traction, and driver form Provide direct instruction on vehicle inputs including threshold braking and ocular driving Provide direct instruction high center of gravity across multiple vehicle platforms Provide direct instruction on unimproved and off-road driving skills Plan, coordinate, and conduct weapons qualifications and training Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training Support delivery of ERT/QRF and Tactical Skills instruction/operations Support instruction of Protective Operations and Guard Training
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
This position requires prior government approval to work on the contract. Biographical Requirements and additional qualifications are as follows:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of instructional driving experience Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of firearms instruction experience Must possess a minimum of six (6) years of operational experience related to areas of Protective Operations, Guard Training, and Tactical Skills instruction. Up to three (3) years of experience as an instructor in the topics related to the instructor responsibilities may be considered as a substitution towards the minimum operational experience Must possess a Government approved Defensive Driving Instructor certificate Must have attended and successfully completed a minimum of eighty (80) hours of training in adult learning and/or instructional techniques Must be able to obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance Must possess a valid US Passport Must possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general
