VISTA Technology Services (VISTA) is seeking a Warehouse Manager in San Diego, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Manager shall perform services in warehouse operations of equipment and supplies, including but not limited to, the following:
Receive, inspect and properly account for all incoming property, supplies and equipment. Inspect and ensure proper handling of hazardous material and provide certifications per the DTR. Prepare receiving reports and maintain receipt of goods by customers and Reports of Discrepancy as required. Develop catalog records for newly received property, supplies and equipment. Perform all functions required within an inventory control system to include but not limited to requisition receipt processing, issuing and storage of supplies, materials and equipment in support of the customer mission. Assist the customer in managing a facility for the receipt, issuance, storage and accountability of property and equipment. Prepare appropriate documentation for issuance of supplies and equipment. Prepare for shipment, supplies and equipment, to include preparation of appropriate paperwork and accounting documents as required. Package, certify, transport, and prepare all shipping documents and ensure hazardous material compliance with the Defense Transportation Regulation. Package, manifest, and mark general and special handling cargo. Exercise appropriate knowledge and skills, placing items in storage using applicable DOD guidelines for storage activities. Assist customer with bi-weekly inventories of supplies and equipment in storage, to include bar code and serial number verification. Position Qualifications: 6 -12 years of experience working in a warehouse environment required Experience supervising staff required Experience operating forklifts preferred Prior military-related experience preferred Degree preferred Must be able to lift and carry minimum 50lbs Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be able to be granted a security clearance at secret level.
