Principal IT Analyst
Qualified candidate will become part of Cinteot's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Cinteot's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Cinteot's DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.
The Principal IT Analyst role will be located in Beltsville, MD. This role supports the Protection & Defense team.
Position Description:
• The Protection and Defense program supports CTS' capability to identify analyze and mitigate threats to Department's information technology (IT) systems and/or networks.
• The team is made up of Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support, Enterprise Scanning, Data Administration, Operational Threat and Analysis (Direct Support, and Network Services Support.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required.
• Possess CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or similar certification.
• Has proficiency analyzing, enhances, installs, able to test and modify enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems.
• Efficient in developing requirements, workflow and systems analysis.
• Proficient with correcting program errors, Familiar with preparing operating instructions, can compile documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities.

Early on, Cinteot personnel wrote the Database Security Requirements Guide (SRG) and Database Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for DISA’s Field Security Office.
