Overview:

In anticipation of a contract award, we are seeking a Program Manager. Within the role of Program Manager supporting a Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), you will support a DoD JPO responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development. You will provide program management expertise and leadership related to US Service-related military operations and/or defense acquisition program management related to weapon system acquisition, employment, and life cycle management. You will advise customers to resolve issues, manage an integrated team of contractor support staff, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Providing program management expertise, thought leadership, and advisory services in support of the JPO leadership and it's programmatic objectives.
Assisting with the execution of strategic initiatives and providing high-level guidance, recommendations, and attention
Conducting analysis and providing recommendations to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Services Leads, and the Assistant Program Director (APD) in support of JPO leadership and prioritization of its focus areas.
Coordinating efforts across the program to enable the assigned Service Lead to optimize team performance.
Supporting the JPO's program strategy formulation, analysis, and decision making, often within significant time constraints, through the use of effective verbal and written communications.

Required Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
Ability to work on site in Arlington, VA up to 2 days per week
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Engineering, Business Administration or other relevant discipline
At least ten (10) years of cumulative experience with the following:
Program management experience within an ACAT I or ACAT II Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
Leadership involving employment of major US Service-related weapons systems in military operations
Defense acquisition program management related to weapons systems acquisitions and life cycle management
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of and experience implementing DODI 5000 series
Demonstrated experience applying the principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate the critical aspects of the development, testing, production, and deployment of related systems, subsystems, and equipment
Familiarity with DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03 (International Agreements), and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
Demonstrated knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Life-Cycle and the documentation, analyses, and reviews associated with those phases
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills

Desired Qualifications:

5th Generation Fighter program management experience
F-35 Lightning II program knowledge and expertise
PMP, PgMP, and / or DAWIA III certification

Education Level:

Bachelors degree or higher

Commensurate with experience
