Position Summary
Federal Data Systems is seeking an IT "jack-of-all-trades" with an IT-security focus, to be a key contributor to that team.
Essential Job Functions Configure and support cloud and virtual environments including AWS and VMware. Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks; Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities. Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system Accreditation. Determine appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation: apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards, Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM. Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM's IT infrastructure. Minimum Required Qualifications Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. Must have m inimum five (5) years of experience as a System Integrator, Administrator, or Cybersecurity Roll. Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Active CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, or higher (minimum DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification). Desired/Preferred Skills: Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA. Ability to problem solve and use engineering skills to determine a solution. Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux, networking, and more. Ability to build systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering. Any applicable certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016. Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
