Position Summary
Federal Data Systems is looking for a n Intrusion Analys t I, II, and III to support a National Security Mission. Analysts will conduct analysis on data derived from communication systems to characteriz e information.
Essential Job Functions Analy ze target digital network data to discover, analyze, and document malicious and una uthorized activity using information collected from a variety of SIGINT and computer network defe nse resources. Analyze metadata collected from tasked communications systems in order to identify, locate, and track targets, and to accurately report the intelligence gained from metadata analysis. Categorize traffic as benign, susp icious, or malicious activity, and document malicious tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Develop and implement mit igation strategies. Focus on network and/or host - based activity. Minimum Required Qualifications Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required. Level I - Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience , Associates degree with 4 years of re levant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position . Level II - Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 7 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position Level III - Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from accredited college or university. Relevant experience must be in malware analysis, Programming experience in C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, or Python is preferred. CISSP, GIAC GREM or CREA Certification is preferred for level I. CISSP, CEH, Sec+, Net+, GIAC GREM and/or CREA Certification is required for level II and III . Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI FS Poly. Multiple locations available: Fort Meade, MD, Hawaii, Georgia, Texas, Utah, Alaska, Colorado, Ohio, United Kingdom, and Germany. Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
