Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall architecture and design of our corporate computing environment. The person will be part of a close-knit team that delivers computing services to company end users and supports, as needed, project delivery teams. Specifically, the person will design, document and help implement, administer and manage the company's virtual computing technologies and cloud/SaaS services to enable users; including, product/solution assessment and recommendation, computing design, storage allocation and operation, file system access management and control, and other related responsibilities. They will support the design, implementation and testing of specific cyber security controls, under the guidance of our lead cyber engineer, and support periodic ISO, CMMC or other audits. The person will support the determination and collection of metrics to demonstrate the effective and efficient delivery of corporate computing systems. The person must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude who works effectively with their peers and users and with a strong sense of independence and ownership for the responsibilities they cover and be willing to support the job execution needs of other team members. While the job is primarily conducted during standard workhours, the person must be able to address off-hour operational issues, system patching, and other actions that occur outside of normal hours.

Required Qualifications 12+ years of directly applicable experience which should include modern, resilient architectures application flows, and virtual workload resource planning. College degree in computer science, engineering or comparable (or commensurate experience); advanced degrees welcomed. Should include specific focus on solutions/systems design, documentation and operations of business systems (local, cloud, SaaS) Proven ability to develop multi-year architecture roadmaps, provide the vision and work with business units and technical teams translate to implementation plans and measurement metrics
Work across product teams to architect, build and design next-generation technology platforms. Demonstrated experience in the administration and performance tuning of middleware solutions. Knowledge and experience of virtual machine creation, administration and tuning; specifically VMWare
Knowledge and experience with developing, administrating and managing system backup and recovery processes; specifically VEEAM backup Knowledge of SCCM with an emphasis of patch management and reporting Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) Demonstrated abilities in leading small work teams to implement and improve business systems
Demonstrated problem solving abilities through research, collaboration and testing Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Desired Qualifications 10+ years direct experience with systems architecture design, documentation and operations Knowledge of Dell, Nimble, AWS and Azure storage architectures/technologies/services Experience with Deltek Costpoint cloud services and/or Cognos BI reporting solutions Experience with monitoring systems preferably PRTG. Solid scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell scripts or Python) Experience and knowledge of cyber security practices and solutions Experience with ISO 20k, 27k and/or NIST 800-171 controls Strong documentation skills to articulate architecture design and solution using Microsoft Visio, Word or other tools #zr
