Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Solution Architect, Enterprise Applications with experience managing support, development and project activities related to Enterprise applications to join our team!

Role Summary:

The Solution Architect, Enterprise Applications role is responsible for working with technical and functional resources to identify, evaluate and establish application architecture for enterprise applications. The position requires individual to work with both technical and non-technical teams in designing, implementing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting Enterprise Application systems and associated applications, and this includes but is not limited to SharePoint (intranet & internet), Power Platform, Office 365, as well as the active implementation projects for Document Management and Contract Management. Hands-on guidance and direction on functional and technical work, including interfaces to other systems. Provide communication and establish a relationship with the user community and other I.T. teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:Plan and Design. Develop and maintain a system roadmap (both near-term & long-term) that aligns with I.T. and business objectives, including the SharePoint platform and all associated enterprise applications. Design system lifecycle management, user engagement, and communication, which facilitate implementation of system roadmapRelationship Building. Developing effective working relationships and collaboration across the organization. Communicate regularly with the user community, working with I.T. leadership to set priorities, communicate status, document issues, and manage expectations.Managing all SDLC phases or Scaled Agile practices to design, develop and deliver business systems and solutions. Provide user requests feasibility based on understanding of changes or enhancements to enterprise systems and related interfaces. Provide guidance and planning for application and technology upgrades.Overseeing technical design and architecture, interface design and development, implementing effective performance, capacity and availability management, and Disaster Recovery solutions for mission critical application systems, reviewing existing applications and making recommendations as appropriate. Collaborating with other members of the I.T. technical team, I.T. Business Analysts, I.T. developers, and operations team to ensure availability, reliability, and proper change management of the enterprise applications to meet business needs.Procedures, Processes, and Process Improvement. Developing and implementing standards, procedures, and processes for the applications, working very closely with the Infrastructure groups, identifying trends and root causes of problems, and implementing necessary remediation and process improvement. Guide development best practices, standards, and procedures.And other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or other technical discipline required.A professional designation, i.e., ITIL , PMP preferred.Experience and understanding of business operations for SharePoint Online, Azure, Office 365 cloud applicationsAbility to communicate with business leaders from their perspective and understand the business impact and risk.Collaborate with functional and technical teams while adhering to best practices for digital transformation. 8+ years of experience in system architecture design and development experience.Ability to design and implement DR/HA related to SharePoint and associated applications.Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically.Certificates & Licenses:Professional certifications, where applicable, are an asset, i.e., Engineer, Software certifications, etc.Other Skills, Attributes, and Abilities:This position requires comprehensive operations and back-office management, technical, communication, and skills and abilities to oversee daily processes and ensure that service level agreements and performance requirements are met.Initiative, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity are requiredMust be able to work well in an ambiguous, continuously changing, fast-paced environment.Must be open to giving and receiving direct criticism in an environment where people are encouraged to challenge the status quo.This job includes frequent interaction with a wide range of personnel, which requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and collaborative style management.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).Requires excellent program and project management skills (e.g., estimating, work planning, project reporting and tracking, issue management).Essential Functions:This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.This role requires maintaining regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.Physical & Safety Requirements:The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).About You:
