SENIOR ENGINEER, MEASUREMENT & QUALITY CONTROL

Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Senior Engineer, Measurement & Quality Control with previous experience in pipeline/terminal measurement and quality control in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!
Role Summary:
The Senior Engineer, Measurement & Quality Control role is responsible for providing companywide technical support for all measurement and measurement equipment related issues. Additionally, this individual will lead facility and system specific inventory investigation efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
• Companywide Measurement Subject Matter Expert. Provide primary technical and troubleshooting support companywide for measurement and proving equipment. Maintain thorough understanding of industry standards and practices and apply to operations as appropriate
• Review and Design Flow Measurement Projects. Support projects with measurement design packages. Research and recommend new measurement technologies
• Optimize and Create Standards for Measurement. Provide input on company M&QC standards and methodology regarding product measurement and related equipment. Support the development and implementation of Corporate measurement programs and policies, and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Auditing, Mentoring, and Leadership. Field auditing and training for compliance and knowledge of employees.
• Measurement and Quality Resolution. Provide expertise and assistance to Operations and other functional areas in regards to specific measurement related issues. New Equipment Implementation. Planning and implementing the installation, setup, calibration, and monitoring of new measurement and proving equipment.
• Support Pipeline Inventory Investigations. Support stakeholders in performing detailed investigation of pipeline inventory concerns.
• Manual Ownership. Direct ownership of Corporate Measurement Manual in regards to product measurement and proving standards.
• Industry Organization Involvement. Represent Buckeye as an active member of the API MPMS group and other industry organizations.
• Budget Management. Advise MCAP budgeting programs regarding metering and tank gauging equipment
• And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in engineering or science-related discipline.
• 5+ years technical experience with measurement equipment preferred.
• Petrochemical and marine terminal experience preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products required.
• Travel: >25%

Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities:
• The Senior M&QC Engineer is expected to coordinate with a variety of stakeholders when working on projects or problem resolution. Proper interaction, using tact and discretion with suppliers, shippers and outside testing facilities is also required to make correct decisions concerning product quality in a timely manner.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational and scheduling skills are essential.
Essential Functions:
• This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
• This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
• Physical demands include visiting field locations where there is potential for being near construction activity and participating in M&QC tasks including climbing tanks.
