Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Analytics with experience the Energy Sector including Oil & Gas and/or Renewables to join our growing team in Houston, TX!

Role Summary:

The Senior Manager, Analytics role is responsible for developing a framework of market fundamentals and analytics of the crude oil, refine products and other energy market dynamics, and for developing points of views on those market dynamics in supporting strategic decisions and other commercial opportunities and presenting results to the Executive Management Team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: Aggregate, compile and assimilate Buckeye proprietary, public and third-party market data, analyses and reports to develop crude oil and refined products pricing and flows forecasts and related analyses and implications, supporting:Business plans, budget and five-year plan outlooksProject & acquisition economicsCompetitive insightsOperationsAd-Hoc Support. Providing ad-hoc support for strategic analysis projects for senior management as well as business development and commercial groups, which includes presenting completed analysis to senior executives or internal committees.Presentation Development. Creating presentations regarding weekly markets updates and ad-hoc strategic and commercial decision support for review by senior and executive management.Research and Analytical Support. Gather quantitative and qualitative input and perform research tasks necessary to proactively highlight potential commercial or business development opportunities that will augment Buckeye's existing business and expand the business to other industry segments and/or energy transition growth areas identified in the company's strategic plan.Trends Evaluation. Monitor and report on key trends, peer and competitor developments, changes in infrastructure, and regulatory or policy changes with material Buckeye implications.Strategy Development. Work with the Vice President, Strategy to incorporate key analytics insights and forecasts into the long-term strategy of the company, including perspective on energy transition and renewables implications, opportunities, and positioning.Investment Review. Review investment projects for reasonableness of market and commercial assumptions and key market risks and mitigationsMarket Research Consultants: Interface, as necessary, with market research consultants related to ongoing data and analysis subscriptions and ad-hoc studies or projects.And other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:Bachelors Degree in a business, finance or other technical discipline required.7+ years of related experience in oil & gas, investment banking or private equity with focus on related experience required.Certificates & Licenses:None requiredOther Skills, Attributes and Abilities:Strong proficiency in assimilation of macroeconomic forecasts and trends, financial modeling and presentations. Understanding of key economic drivers of company performance.The successful incumbent must be a team player that is capable of thriving in a fast-paced transactional environment. He/she must be an inquisitive, business-oriented self-starter who enjoys project work, can multi-task and meet strict deadlines. High-level analytical and quantitative skills are necessary. Strong interpersonal skills with high level of maturity combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. The incumbent must also be organized, focused and articulate, with the ability to confidently interact with executive management, directors, industry consultants, etc.Essential Functions:This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.Physical and Safety Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.About You:
