Job Summary: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for compiling orders from customers into waves for the order selectors to pick. This position ensures that the orders are complete, printed and reviewed prior to start of operations and through-out the day. You may be asked to help manage customer requirements including accessing customer portals, ensuring customer requirements are being met. Additionally, carrier assignment and transportation arrangements for customer orders may fall within your scope of work. A successful candidate will be able to thrive in a data driven environment. The coordinator will assist management in developing daily work plans and scheduling work for associates, as well as communicate with other departments as needed.

Essential Duties: Manage carrier assignment and transportation arrangements for customer orders. Manage internal and external customer requirements, as required, ensuring all have been appropriately met Release work in a manner that ensures maximum levels of productivity and order turn times, including generating pick tickets, identifying and resolving orders that are unable to be shipped and handling expedited orders and orders that require special handling instructions. Escalate order shipment issues to leadership and create reports as requested Minimal Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent experience 1 year experience with fundamental distribution and operations principles and practices Preferred Qualifications: SAP experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of key warehouse functions (i.e. Receiving, Inventory Management, Order Processing, Replenishment, and Shipping). Ability to investigate and troubleshoot flow /process issues. Demonstrated process improvement and systematic process improvement skills Must have the ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other people and departments. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution experience Effective organizing and planning skills Ability to communicate at all levels of the business and influence others Must be a self-starter, creative thinker, and results oriented individual. Proficient experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) with intermediate level skills in Excel. Ability to read, write effectively communicate pertinent information and standard operating procedures. Must be able to function in a quick moving, highly interactive team environment. Must have the ability to multi task as well as be detail oriented. Must possess natural curiosity and ability to recognize missing elements. Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
