This opening is in our Bedford, MA location, part of the Boston-Cambridge Innovation Cluster which is ranked #2 in the U.S. for science and technology impact by World I.P. You will be 20 minutes to downtown Boston and Cambridge, 40 minutes to beautiful North Shore beaches, and less than 2 hours to world class skiing and hiking in the mountains of VT, NH, and ME.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support our Site Management and Technical Teams in a myriad of business and
technical growth activities
• Facilitate flow of finance and inventory information between sales, production, and
engineering using common business software tools such as Salesforce, QuickBooks,
MS Word and Excel, and SAP
• Handle inbound telephone calls, providing top-notch first impression and routing
creatively to appropriate team members
• Support Human Resources with recruiting, benefits, performance management, and
insurance programs for healthcare, workers comp, and liability etc.
• Arrange event logistics for onsite and remote events with business partners, local
Universities, etc.
• Help design and build systems and processes for a growing product development
organization
• Perform light purchasing and shipping & receiving consistent with the needs of an office
and electronics development laboratory setting
• Organize periodic fun and quirky events for site personnel; help create an inspiring and
enjoyable atmosphere for all

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Accounting, or the Natural Sciences with an
analytical emphasis
• 3+ years' experience in a product development, manufacturing, or a similar setting
Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct experience as an Office Manager in a high-tech environment
• Experience CRM systems (Salesforce.com), ERP systems, or QuickBooks
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Takes pride in making events, human resources programs, and the facility itself run
smoothly and support the team
• Writes well organized, articulate, context-sensitive emails
• Creates clear, consistent documents and charts with polished formatting
• Lets nothing slip between the cracks, makes the numbers add up, and conscientiously
tracks all the details
• Proven self-starter: takes initiative and adapts to changes, recognizes, and capitalizes on
opportunities
• Positive attitude, high energy individual identifies obstacles and tackles them to meet
goals
• Passionate advocate for clean energy and innovative technology
• Comfortable adapting to the dynamic needs and priorities of a fast-growing company
Location:
Based at the Generac New England Technology Center in Bedford, MA. Occasional
minor travel, especially to our So. Portland ME office as well as other Generac affiliated
sites may be needed.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
This position is 30 hour/week with flexible hours.
