Summary:
The Sr. Director, Marketing Automation is responsible for leading the team that conducts all promotional and transactional email, SMS and push notification campaigns (portfolio and acquisition audiences), ensuring on-time execution and high-level deliverability. In this role, you'll brainstorm new deployment strategies and execute complex Journey/automation builds within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, focusing on customer behavior to enhance email performance. You monitor email deliverability and IP status, maintain the IP usage plan, and pivot when necessary to maximize deliverability. You and your team maintain promotional and transactional scheduled and automated communications calendars across Refinance Marketing, Brand, and Ancillary Products. The role is responsible for managing several Marketing Cloud Specialists who execute campaigns for different business lines.

Essential Job Functions include:
Oversee the deployment, optimization, and success of 200+ campaigns being delivered to 1.5M borrowers across three different categories: Portfolio Marketing, Acquisition Marketing, and Brand Marketing Deeply understand email creation, SMS generation, Journeys, triggered automations, and SQL queries within Salesforce Marketing Cloud Monitor both Portfolio and Acquisition IPs and domains and adjust usage based on performance Provide insight to key stakeholders on how email campaigns can improve, including subject line recommendations and email content best practices Develop new lead-driving campaigns using the latest email technologies including AMP form completion Work with email designer and copy writer to build, manage, and deploy the monthly Newsletter Stay up to date regarding new Salesforce Einstein activities that can improve email engagement Troubleshoot technical problems with Journeys, including integrating email, text and push notifications Manage a team of email marketing Managers and Specialists, providing direction, mentorship and leadership to those whose core responsibilities include creating and deploying marketing emails, SMS, and push notifications Other Related Duties:

May manage staff and/or consultants carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:

In addition to requirements listed below, he/she will be expected to take Trailhead courses to help with their Marketing Cloud training.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a Four (4) year College or University or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 or more years' experience managing the success of quick-changing email campaigns, preferably within the Mortgage Industry Existing or interest in obtaining expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, specifically Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio Deep understanding of email best practices and CAN-SPAM laws and TCPA Previous experience managing staff and/or vendor relationships a plus Understands basic marketing principals as it relates to tracking KPI Excel and mathematical skills required; must be able to create basic custom reports, pivot tables and provide insights /trends into campaign performance Must have acute attention to detail to perform QC responsibilities Must be an independent worker who can handle multiple projects simultaneously Must be able to quickly pivot in a fast-paced environment
Licensing/Certification/Registration:
Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification or Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification a bonus
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Regular and substantial contact with others. Contacts usually involve discussions related to policies and programs. Handles sensitive, complex, and/or confidential information.
Customer Service Relationships:

Establishes a customer feedback system and holds self-accountable for customer service excellence within the department.
Work Complexity:
Tasks and responsibilities require integration of diverse functional areas and involve variables that are more abstract. Work is substantially complex and varied, and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies and procedures in combination.
Independent Judgement/Problem Solving:
Performs duties within scope of general Company policies, procedures and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices. Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor.
