SUMMARY:VSE Corporation / Federal Defense Services (FDS), is seeking an Operations Specialist to support logistics operations at our Chesapeake, VA office. The operations specialist is responsible for management of Deltek Cost Point data management, management of vendor coordination and reports, and review and amendments to Statement of Work in support of one contract.Ensure effective communications across all program areas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
In support of Statement of Work:Draft, review, staff, file, format, and update a variety of documents (e.g., memorandums, briefings, information papers, presentations, issue papers, meeting minutes, etc.), including assisting with the preparation of PowerPoint and other presentations for official briefings.Serve as the primary Task Manager, overseeing the process of Cost Point entry and management.Follow corporate, DoD, and other organizational templates and best practices as required.Enter customer awards in to Deltek ERP solution Costpoint to record revenue and initiate Procurement process.Respond to customer status requests and manage vendor timelines to ensure on time delivery of goods.Organize receipts and prepare expense reports utilizing Concur.Provide contract support to Profit and Loss managers to include review Statements of work (SOW), allocation of projected hours in support of products and services, collect, consolidate, and submit project status summaries and contract delivery reports, and maintain coordination with contract administrators and program financial analyst.Representative pertaining to the administration of facilities operations and services type contracts to include creating and tracking purchase orders and their approvals.Monitor material stock levels, maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies.Track and receive services invoices in the finance system to ensure payments are made on time.Coordinate travel arrangements as required via CONCURMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experiencePossess and demonstrate a working knowledge of day-to-day administrative and business process function.Possess strong communication skills, both orally and written to draft memorandums and program documentation to support data calls and effectively review final documentation for grammar and formatting.Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, with minimum 5 years of experience using SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and other programs including Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Concur and Costpoint a plus.Proven knowledge of creation and management of Statements of Work in support of a DOD contract.In compliance with Executive Order 14042, any successful applicant for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an accommodation from the vaccination requirement based on disability or sincerely held religious belief, on or before the start date.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
