Job Description:
ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking a Software Developer for a remote/virtual assignment in support of our US Army Customer. This full-time position affords successful candidates with the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech software development project. Successful candidates will:
Desirable Experience:
Derive and maintain a cohesive program software architecture based on customer requirements, customer interactions, subject matter expert inputs, system architecture artifacts, and business objectives
Communicate development concepts to software developers, program management, and customer representatives during meetings
Work with system engineering personnel to assess requirements, and to ensure consistency between system architecture and software architecture
Use Jira, Confluence, Git/Bitbucket collaboration and source control tools to communicate information; Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them; Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics
Must have ability to
Provide excellent customer service
Coordinate several concurrent tasks
Interface with users in a pleasant and tactful manner
Be self-motivated
Quickly learn new technologies
Occasionally work non-standard hours as required
To be a Team Player with the ability to work well independently with limited direction
Optional skills/experience:
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs) and specifically, OSGi
Experience in Java/ J2EE technologies (Swing, OSGi, Sockets, JPA, XML (DOM and SAX)
Experience with PostgresSQL (RDBMS, PL/SQL, Referential Integrity)
Experience with Map Implementation (Worldwind, OpenMap, FalconView)
Experience with AFATDS, Army Common Operating Environment (COE) or other PM MC systems
Currently possess an active DoD SECRET security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen in order to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance

Requirements:
BS degree in related technical field and 5-12 years prior relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. May substitute BS degree for 4 additional years of related experience
Experience with Windows (Processes, IPC, Windows Registry, Installers)
Strong knowledge of Windows API
Scripting in Windows Batch
Experience developing shellcode
Experience in C/C (Basic understanding of Dynamic memory management)
Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, development environment
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
Familiarity with any of the following programming languages including Ada, Java Swing, and Java is a plus
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance
