Job Description:

Epsilon C5I ( http://epsilonsystems.com/c5i) is seeking a Systems Engineer with at least 8 years of experience for work in Springfield, VA. In this role, you will be part of a team providing development, integration, and sustainment of Geospatial Intelligence data management services in the Cloud, across multiple security enclaves. Our engineers will develop and integrate new services to manage and disseminate mission data to authorized users. These modernized services will allow the government to retire the legacy library systems and provide new functionality that addresses enduring and emerging missions. Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the management team, technical leads, product owners and government stakeholders. Innovate and contribute new ideas, maintain the highest level of quality and increase team velocity by predicting potential issues and solving unpredictable issues. Review and provide technical advice on technical documentation submissions for systems development optimization Provide engineering and technical support and advisement regarding problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements. Provide assessments and recommendations on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Perform risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques. Support the identification, tracking, and resolution of systems engineering issues related to technical interfaces, technology insertion/design improvements, and other program initiatives. Prepare technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address program management issues in such venues as technical design reviews, technical review boards, and others. Identify technical issues that need resolution. Work with applicable Government team leads to facilitate the resolution of technical issues. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for identified cost, schedule, and technical issues. Provide weekly reports on significant issues and actions. Support transition of developmental efforts into production, and assist with the technical activities. Conduct assessments and make recommendations for design, testing, and documentation utilizing full knowledge of all phases of application, analysis, and programming and research analysis techniques. Provide engineering solutions in support of continued operational sustainment Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project lifecycle as it relates to technical decisions
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in related engineering field At least eight (8+) years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI Poly Effective oral, written communication skills and customer focused. Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), GitLab, GitLab Runner, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Linux, Jira, Confluence Performs duties with opportunity to exercise initiative, independent judgement and discretion under minimal supervision. Ability to oversee the overall technical implementation of applications and frequently interact with internal and external business contacts. Ability to oversee the technical integrity while providing technical guidance to clients and department staff Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills. Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
