Electronics Technician III

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.

You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.

Typical duties include:
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturersRecommend solutions to design problems.Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.High school diploma or equivalent.Must have as a minimum, eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.Desired: Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.Desired: Previous Intrusion Detection System experience.

Have a working knowledge of the multiple systems to include:
AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systemsDMP alarm monitor and reporting systemsFLIR RADARs and camerasGenetec NVRsPelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchersNetworking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivityWindows ServersCisco SwitchesFiber communication equipmentWAVES MNSMS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus but not required
