Position Summary

The Senior Pricing Analyst will support regional customer pricing and assist executing pricing strategies to maintain and expand new business within the McKesson Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services organization. This individual will collaborate with the Regional Sales organization to conduct financial analyses to determine customer, program and item-level profitability for regional customers. The Pricing Analyst will need to build strong working relationships with external/internal clients to maintain engagement and enable pricing decisions based on market shifts and consolidation. The individual will be responsible for keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape within the segment. A total package of qualities to be successful in the role will include strong financial acumen, data analysis, customer relationship, and project management skills to make swift, yet informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform customer level profitability analysis for regional customers

Provide recurring and ad hoc customer analysis to support Finance and Sales organizations

Identify opportunities for business development

Build and maintain strong customer relationships resulting in customer retention and stability/increase of sales to maximize share of wallet

Minimum Requirements

4+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

Understanding of business management including P&L, ROI, and break-even analysis

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing multiple priorities

Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership

Ability to build basic pricing models using MS Excel (Intermediate to Advance level)

Strong PowerPoint and presentations skills


Additional Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage projects with minimal supervision

Critical thinking and problem resolution skills

Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment

Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and payer reimbursements a plus

Previous healthcare or Pharma experience (preferred)

Experience supporting sales teams is a plus

Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment


Education

Bachelors Finance or related field or equivalent experience
