Job Description:

WR has a need for an Electrical Engineer to support to ALERT team.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Under the direction of senior personnel, designs electronic circuits, components and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials. Designs test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment. Develops new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components, and in application of components to products or systems. Assists in field operations and maintenance of electronic installations. Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Works under the general technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks. Participates in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Consults with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections. Writes documentation or reviews documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering, electrical/electronics engineering technology, computer engineering, math, physics or related scientific discipline. Three (3)+ years of engineering design experience in one of the following areas: Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Interface protocols (I/O); Digital design using state-of-the art microprocessors; Analog, power and/or RF design. Experience in Software development a plus.


Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
