Location: Virginia

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:15am to 5pm (some evening and weekends required)

How you will contribute to LifeNet Health's success:

The Community Education Coordinator educates the general public throughout the LifeNet Health Donation Service Area (DSA) about the organ and tissue donation, driving each individual to designate themselves as an Organ and Tissue donor in the appropriate State registry or DMV. The Community Education Coordinator participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for the overall success of the team in achieving departmental goals. The Community Education Coordinator will perform their job in a manner that exemplifies the mission, attributes and values of LifeNet Health on a continuous basis.

What you'll do:
Implements an effective strategic plan of Community Education as it pertains to specific assigned target audience (College programs, Decision Donation, Workplace Partnership, Department of Motor Vehicle efforts, Minority awareness, and Faith-based/religious programming). All Community Education efforts to be focused on driving more individuals into the Donor Registry. Creates new community events in partnership with local community organizations. Actively participates in donor designation events at local hospitals, businesses or public forums in collaboration with Hospital Development staff. Participates in community education events that are planned by donor family members and/or transplant recipients. Assists ambassadors in staffing local community education events throughout the donation service area. Evaluates effectiveness of community education projects and makes recommendations for projects that will enhance programs throughout the DSA.

What you'll bring (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare or related field preferred 3 years related work experience Valid Driver's License
