Capstone Corporation is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to support USTRANSCOM's Joint Training and Readiness Division.
This position will help develop exercise milestones based on current doctrine and matrix data collected from units.This position is located at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Responsibilities
Supports the project and program manager in the performance of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tasks. Provides subject matter expertise in logistics data production of air and sealift transportation data in USTRANSCOM Distribution Environment Support System (DESS) M&S ITV system used to replicate real-world ITV and C2 systems. Captures CCMD ITV requirements to meet training objectives and then develops tailored DESS M&S ITV system support architecture to meet these objectives. Supports 24/7 Exercise Response Cell (ERC) duties during exercise execution. Monitors exercise ITV data production and Data Quality (DQ) during exercises. Troubleshoots DQ issues and works with sending system to correct discrepancies. Writes After Action Reports. Serves as USTRANSCOM DESS Functional Manager. Maintains currency and familiarity with DESS ITV systems, schedules, plans and conducts DESS Event Operational Test as needed to maintain system currency.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum education and experience:
Bachelor's degree. Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.Minimum qualifications:
Proficient understanding in developing, conducting and evaluating joint training support. Familiarity with DoD ITV systems (i.e. IGC, SMS, JOPES, CAMPS, GDSS, WPS, CMOS). Understanding of the USTRANSCOM organization and experience with DoD ITV reporting. Proficient with Microsoft Suite of applications.Clearance:
DOD Secret Clearance.
