Job Description:

Purpose (key contribution to the company)
• Sustain and develop technical aspects in the value stream, drive productivity improvements Continuous Improvement, including
• Be a passionate Change Agent that advocates for World Class Practices and Safety
• Be Process Oriented, Customer Focused, and Operator Centered
• Lead Team Oriented Problem Solving activities to identify opportunities for improved performance and to devise solutions
• Design plant layout for efficient material flow,
• Devising and implementing new manufacturing techniques
• Designing and developing tooling, as well as Tooling Preventative Maintenance program
• Definition and improvement of standard work in the value stream.
• Constantly keep an eye to the future of the organization, identify, and eliminate short and long- term problems that may occur. Interface with & coordinate related activities of other departments as required to support production needs

Key accountabilities:

Quality
• Define standard work and standard operating procedures, support team to create and update new SOPs
• Interface with Quality Department for the purpose of developing Permanent Corrective Actions to quality issues.
• Implement quality-related improvements in production (poka-yoke solutions, fixturing & tooling etc.)

Delivery
• Facilitate cell design, line layout, and plant layout with the VSM and VSLs, and production management
• Work with value stream manager(s) and lead(s) to develop the support structure including information flow and systems, and process reviews.
• Manage continuous improvement efforts for quick change over, standardized work, workplace organization for optimum value stream layout.
• Visual management from concept to implementation.
• Coordinate implementation of engineering changes and the change processes
• Provide training on new methods to the value stream team
• Assist with the rapid transition to an excellent visual production system for Hiab Operating production systems

Productivity & Continuous Improvement
• Lead Kaizen events within the value stream as required, to include value stream mapping, line balancing. value stream map, line balancing
• Lead the training and implementation of lean manufacturing tools and concepts including 6S, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance etc.
• Bring creative lean manufacturing solutions to the value stream
• Provide 6s technical solutions in conjunction with the 6s champions
• Project manager for technical improvement projects
• Maintain operator maintenance plans in the workstations

What you'll need to succeed:

Education:
• Degree: BS in Engineering related discipline, or similar experience

Experience:
• Strong experience assembly operations, equipment design, and tooling
• Strong experience in Cell, Line and/or Plant Layout
• Working knowledge of LEAN principles
• Project management experience

Competencies:
• Strong technical understanding of assembly and manufacturing processes
• The ability to lead and participate in collaborative problem solving
• Effective speaking and active listening
• Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD
• Competency in Google Suite, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, or equivalents
• English requirement: written Excellent, spoken Good

Required training:
• Education in Engineering
• LSS -Yellow Belt, a plus Systems and tools
• LEAN
• Six Sigma
