Overview:
G2 Global Solutions, LLC. is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with 508 Compliance experience to support a program with our government customer. The Section 508 compliance specialist provides assistance and advice on information and communication technology (ICT) accessibility policies and helps ensure compliance with all required government standards. The position will be based in Washington, DC.

Principle Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies, able to work both independently and on a team and have the ability to organize and present information in a clear, concise manner Keep current with Federal, State, and other accessibility requirements and keep existing internal accessibility information, including checklists, up to date. Develop 508-compliant HTML and multimedia products. Analyze and solve complex accessibility problems. Test products as requested using the Trusted Tester methodology and work directly with designers and developers to resolve issues. Organize brown bags, workshops, and help support developer training.Complete other adhoc tasks as assigned. Required Skills:
A minimum of (4) years implementing Section 508 Standards, WCAG 2.0, and related accessibility laws, regulations, as applicable to ICT. Experience as a front-end developer for 508-compliant HTML (responsive HTML a plus), demonstrated ability to hand code HTML and CSS, and developing 508-compliant multimedia (online training a plus).Excellent technical writing and editing skills to include spelling, grammar, and punctuationPrefer proficiency with Adobe products (Acrobat, Captivate 8 or later, Dreamweaver); Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); and developing interactive PDFs (JavaScript programming a plus).Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others.Must be able to travel. There will be approximately (4) 4-day trips outside of the DC metropolitan areaDesired Skills:
Knowledge of Drupal, JQuery, ARIA, using an LMS, and 508-compliant video a plus. Analytical and organizational skillsRequired Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Desired Certifications:
