Responsibilities
OBXtek is currently staffing for a Security Assurance Specialist 2 to support SSA's Division of Information Systems Security Administration and Operations's secure solutions for projects in the Information Security Program. This position requires a Public Trust Suitability or eligibility for Public Trust.

Background
The security infrastructure is a model for integrating security services, mechanisms, objects and management functions, across multiple hardware and software platforms and networks. The infrastructure supports the strategy for providing end-to-end protection of applications and information across the Agency. The overall objectives of security are defined below:

Use new security technologies to sustain and maintain the health of SSA information environment. Protect Federal computer resources commensurate with the risk of harm resulting from misuse of unauthorized access to such systems. Manage security risks while minimizing effects on Agency business operations. Provide adequate technical support. Provide documentation.
Scope of Task
The contractor will research, develop, document, and implement McAfee technologies as they relate to the IT Security processes.

Security Integration
Purpose: To assist in the development and testing of actual security systems to ensure that all work is performed correctly, cost effectively, expeditiously, and at the highest level of quality.

Activities:
Research and assess current security products/software programs for applicability to the SSA environment. Provide technical support, and assist in managing SSA enterprise-wide antivirus and malware detection, prevention, and remediation tasks working with software such as McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (VSE). Support McAfee Security Management solutions that integrate with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) software, including but not limited to: McAfee Agent McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) McAfee Data Loss Protection Endpoint (DLPe) McAfee Drive Encryption (MDE) McAfee File and Removable Media Protection (FRP) McAfee Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE) McAfee Advanced Threat Defense (ATD) McAfee Dynamic Application Containment (DAC) McAfee Real Protect McAfee Policy Auditor (PA) McAfee Vulnerability Manager (MVM) McAfee Rogue System Sensors (RSD) Other security solutions that can integrate with McAfee ePO Design, develop and oversee implementation of security architecture, including authentication services, prevention systems, vulnerability assessments, and system and application environments. Participate in Business Process Analysis (BPA), requirements elicitation and analysis, prototype design, usability testing, and/or post implementation usability analysis. Continue ongoing development of SSA security service offerings. Provide incident/problem management support when required. Work closely with other IT disciplines to help in development and deployment of enterprise-wide security program. Test each phase of the process in lab environment. This will take place during hours agreed upon SSA Task Manager. Design and implement windows-based custom scripts in various languages including Perl, C+, Visual Basic, and Korn Shell to monitor and ensure the security software programs installed across SSA enterprise are up-to-date and operational. Annual maintenance renewals for licenses for Powertech Antivirus for IBM i (previously known as iSereis), and updated licenses when IBM i hardware is upgraded. Troubleshoot and resolve errors. Document how the user community will use each process. Develop and administer SharePoint sites and pages for various security projects. Integrate Symon Communication solutions. Determine, develop, and design reports to be displayed on the Symon board. Manage MFDs including registration, re-authorization, administration, and troubleshooting. Verify Security Compliance of MFDs against the Security Configuration Guides and Security Templates. Develop MFD security requirements for future BPA\u2019s and test proposed MFDs. Create and give presentations.

Qualifications
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

10+ years of task-related experience.

Experience with supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise McAfee products, including ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

Experience with Enterprise multi-function devices.

Experience with scripting.

Note: This position is designated for work on-site, however is currently a telecommute position due to COVID.
