B3 Group is looking for an IT Systems Administrator/Security Engineer who will conduct multiple-disciple server administration duties, networking tasks, system scans, network, and packet tracing, and data packet sniffing. The candidate will perform penetration tests of virtual machines within the AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Azure GovCloud networks. The candidate will also utilize problem-specific tools that leverage identified vulnerabilities, research the latest exploitation techniques and threat vectors, and design and configure Linux and Windows environments including Firewall ports and IP addresses.
A B3 Technical Sr. Analyst will apply expert systems analysis and design techniques to complex enterprise systems. They will have a broad knowledge of data sources/flow, interactions of complex systems, and capabilities/limitations of systems software and computer equipment. The B3 Technical Sr. Analyst will be able to establish frameworks for new computer systems from feasibility studies to post-implementation evaluation, recognize probable conflicts, and integrate diverse data sources. They will provide innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems, and prepare overall project recommendations.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
Experience in using network protocol analyzers and sniffers, as well as the ability to decipher packet captures. Experience with at least one of the following scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Node.js) 3+ years experience with TCP/IP protocols as it relates to network security Experience performing web application security assessments Capable of conducting penetration tests on applications, systems, and network utilizing proven/formal processes and industry standards. Experience with root cause analysis Experience analyzing data packets Ability to read and understand network and architecture diagrams In-depth understanding of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits Exceptional communication skills, this position requires significant communication and coordination of complex technical topics. Strong data analysis and reporting skills, this position routinely performs extensive sorting, categorizing, summarizing, and conducts trend analysis Superior knowledge and technical proficiency performing enterprise patch\update management utilizing SCCM and performing vulnerability remediation Expert-level knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency utilizing PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Node.js to perform administration of Windows and Linux system environments. Excellent troubleshooting of Linux and MS Windows operating system and client\server applications. Knowledge of TCP/IP and other protocols including the use of troubleshooting tools - PowerShell, Perfmon, ProcMon, Sysinternals, and packet sniffers (Wireshark/Netmon). Analyze vulnerability data sources to identify vulnerability trends and recommend priority of work. Research vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans. Conduct testing of remediation plans to unsure effective vulnerability remediation. In order to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field required, or 8 years of additional years of work experience. Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to include strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines. Ability to independently and rapidly develop and or utilize tools and scripts from concept to production in a high-stress, short deadline, under-resourced environment using multiple programming languages. Desired/Preferred Experience:
Bachelors in Computer Science/Management of Computer Information/Information Assurance or Security Specialized experience in Server Administration and or Red Teaming, Computer Network Attack (CNA), Computer Network Exploitation (CNE), Computer Network Defense (CND), and/or penetration testing. Ability to independently and rapidly develop and or utilize tools and scripts from concept to production in a high-stress, short deadline, under-resourced environment using multiple programming languages System administration, 7 years (Required) Wireshark, 2+ years (Preferred) Successful B3 Group employees will display the following characteristics:
